corpo skiddys continue to pull the data from the government like a crackhead stripping copper wire out of the walls. while the state was never our friend, its important to acknowledge that it did provide some protections, especially for workers and minorities. as those protections break or disappear, its up to all of us to keep each other safe. corps want to exploit abuse and work us all to death. don't let them.

perhaps, what if, we let them break it? we let them use their power and wealth to break the system but we hinder them from building their new techno kingdoms. if we succeed, we have the chance to build a better place. an egalitarian land without the burdens of capitalism or hierarchy. but if we fail, we will all be forced into corporate arcologies. stripped of free will and forced to serve the corporate masters. but at this point, is that really any different than the crumbling neo-liberal hellscape we currently find ourselves in?

Pretty eye opening seeing people defend and deflect for their favorite techno-fascist oligarch shadow president. This fucking guy could hang swastika banners on the front of the White House and they all be saying “WeLl AcTuAlLy, ThAt Is ThE hInDu SyMbOl FoR gOoD lUcK aNd PrOsPeRiTy. NiCe TrY, LiBs!” like… is this just cognitive dissidence or am I surrounded by closeted Nazis who can’t help themselves and have to jump in to protect their Fuhrer.

The ones who control the algorithms that steer society. sitting together not as enemies, but as lords pledging loyalty under a new regime. Weird shit is going down. Its not well hidden but the outcome is hazy. What’s the end goal here? All the players are getting something out of this.

Millions of Americans are flocking to Chinese app, Xiaohongshu, as both replacement of Tiktok and protest of their government’s red scare policy to ban tiktok. It has been both comical and eye opening for users, both Chinese and American, as they exchange cultures. Many of the American “tiktok refugees” express willingness to hand over user data to a Chinese company. They see an authoritarian surveillance state on the other side of the planet as less of a threat than their own government. China isn’t going to jail you, bury you in medical debt, or lay you off. But your own country, however, is a different story. The way most see it, the only thing that country ever did was accept factory jobs that American Corpos took away from American workers. As the deadline draws near to ban a popular app used by millions, politicians are trying to reverse course. They tried to force a sale of Tiktok and have now flinched when the parent company said they’d rather be banned than sell. They were willing to commit political suicide just to please Silicon Valley Tech Oligarchs but are trying to pullback even though its too late. It can’t be any more clear who runs this shithole now.

AI image generation. Its like a train crash in slow motion. With every iteration, you think “oh that’s going to get used for nefarious purposes”. While the proponents of the tech say you’re being paranoid, you are proven right time and time again. Its worse in natural disasters, where so much bad is happening all at once, grifters and charlatans release fake images into the media space in order to stoke outrage and push their agenda. Even when the images are revealed as fake. The people duped into spreading them don’t care. We say its not about facts, its about vibes. But its also about people not being willing to admit that their bias makes them blind and vulnerable. And when you have enough of those people. You have an army. A weapon.

December 4th was the day that changed how people saw themselves. It was the day that sparked revolution. Mega corps have abused and exploited people for so long and on that day, someone fought back. Not with protest or petitions. But with 3 bullets. Deny, Defend, Depose. An act that shook those at the top to the core. Corpo ghouls had their reality and mortality checked. No amount of money can make you immortal. The Oligarchs running the media landscape have tried in vain to spin the shooter as a villain, but try as they might, they can’t stop the signal. Corps were shown that their evil actions can eventually have consequences. This brings us to today. Los Angeles is burning. House after house up in flames and as I write this, 11 so far have been confirmed dead. A horrible natural disaster fueled by humanity’s disastrous nature. And so it shocks me to see that home insurers are canceling their customers fire coverage as the flames push closer and closer. A horrendous rug pull. An evil action. One they can’t Deny. One they’ll try to Defend. One they’ll never be asked to Depose.

Bathed in the light of a dozen screens, I watch in horror of what the world is becoming. the social media ecosystem that once promised to connect us, becomes filled with AI generated abominations that no one but the half blind or half braindead can enjoy. what content is made by humans is careful filtered by an algorithm to insure maximum sellability. corpo overlords pull our strings and craft our feeds so as to exploit every last dollar or measurable datapoint from us. as fire rages across Los Angeles, the machine continues to churn. content creators standing among the flames trying to go viral. disinfo vendors sowing conspiracies about space lasers hiding evidence of celebrity sex crimes. society is cracking. fuck, we're only a week into the new year.
